Personify Productions, LLC is a Philadelphia-based film, television and digital media production company owned by principal creative Daniel M. Kalai.

Kalai has successfully completed several projects from development to distribution and can adjust to any workflow within any scope or budget to deliver high quality, original content.

Kalai’s various credits include feature films “The 4th Dimension” (TLA Releasing), “The Anderson Monarchs” (2010 Sundance Institute Documentary Fund grant winner), short film “Committed” (Shorts International/iTunes), television special “Inside Super Bowl XL” (Spike TV/NFL Films), “Sweater Vest” Vegas.com Commercial (Travel Channel) and several ESPN X Games, where he won a 2005 Sports Emmy for Outstanding Live Event Turnaround as Associate Producer. Kalai is currently shopping his first HD reality television Pilot “Medium Mom” to various interested networks and currently developing a slate of reality television projects and narrative feature length screenplays.

Daniel M. Kalai

Philadelphia native Daniel M. Kalai earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Film and Media Arts with a minor in Journalism, PR and Advertising from Temple University in 2004. He has worked on a variety of projects showcasing his talents. Along with the massive ESPN production team, Kalai received the prestigious Live Event Turnaround Sports Emmy in 2005 for his work as an associate producer on ESPN’s Winter X games IX, which aired live on ABC and ESPN. In 2005, Kalai produced The 4th Dimension, his first Independent feature film, which was shot in and around the Philadelphia area. The 4th Dimension World Premiered at the CineVegas Film Festival in 2006 where it won the Grand Jury Honorable Mention Award and has since screened at 20 film festivals worldwide. In 2008, TLA Releasing distributed the film on DVD in North America and New Video released it on iTunes September 2008. In September 2009, The 4th Dimension was the first independent film on the Playstation Store worldwide. In 2006, Kalai also produced a one-hour show titled “Super Bowl XL: The Road to XL” for NFL Films/Spike TV. In 2007, Kalai attended the CineVegas Film Festival for the second year in a row with a spec spot he wrote, produced and directed for Vegas.com entitled “Sweater Vest”. Vegas.com picked up the spot and aired it on the Travel Channel during Vegas Week.

In July 2007, Kalai wrote, produced and directed his first short film “Committed” starring Michael Rady of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 1 & 2, CW’s Melrose Place and Bethany Bassler. “Committed” world premiered at 2009 LA Shorts Fest and is currently being distributed on iTunes worldwide by Shorts International. From 2009 to 2010, Kalai produced a documentary feature on “The Anderson Monarchs” the first all-black girls’ competitive soccer team in the USA, which recently won the 2010 Sundance Institute Documentary Fund grant winner. In 2010, Kalai also wrote, produce and directed his first reality-show pilot “Medium Mom” with Spiritual Medium Theresa Roba, who helps strangers reunite the living with the dead and delivers messages of hope, love and promise. “Medium Mom is currently being shopped to several interested networks.

Kalai is also a musician and singer-songwriter as well. He released his first EP “Sleepy Oak Sessions” in 2007 on iTunes and has played over 100 gigs at major venues in Philadelphia and New York City.
